@5Cdarkwing silva has great ground game but we all know his strength is the stand up. He's undefeated and went to the ground many times, and he fought there, and owned. But he was taken down, it wasnt just his opponent asking for it. man... take downs are part of the technique. If you can't do it then too bad you can't use BJJ. Imagine you're good a using guns but when the time comes to use it you can't take it out of its suit.. wtf's the point. u gonna ask ur agressor to take it out for you?

@5Cdarkwing well you sound like you got a great experience at being a champ! The champ is the one who wins the damn fight. In MMA u need to have a game plan and to be wise. When you're teh challenger it means you pretend you can defeat the champion. Then come and prove it. Silva obviously dominated that fight. Why would silva take a stupid bait. Leites wasnt fighting, why would silva commit himself. It's the ground guy's job to bring u to the ground. Leites didnt. He just layd on his back.

@furiousmat yeh he was a worthless challenger, and silva was just as worthless in that fight, a true champ looks to finish a fight no matter where it goes !...anyother ufc champ would have followed him to the ground and smashed him. Silva was to scared to take that chance !

@5Cdarkwing oh well I think if you're challenging the champion you gotta go and take the belt not freagin roll on your back and be like "hey man i'm good on the ground I know you're gonna destroy my face if we stand up so come and meet me on the ground after all being able to take you down isn't really part of the sport isnt it". There was no to just follow on the ground and leithes was humiliated by showing how worthless he was. silva didnt want to commit with such a worthless challenger.

@whatuknowgood He can speak English. But I believe why he doesn't use it as much is because he feels more comfortable replying in Portuguese. I have really good Spanish, but sometimes I could get lost trying to find the right word when speaking to someone, so I prefer to speak English lol. Idk, that's just one of my beliefs on why he does that. I don't even know why people care to be honest lol.
